UNBEATEN BY RAIN - POEM
not losing to the wind
not losing to the snow or to the heat of the summer
with a strong body
unfettered by desire
never losing temper
cultivating a quiet joy
every day four bowls of brown rice
miso and some vegetables to eat
in everything
count yourself last and put others before you
watching and listening, and understanding
and never forgetting
in the shade of the woods of the pines of the fields
being in a little thatched hut
if there is a sick child to the east
going and nursing over them
if there is a tired mother to the west
going and shouldering her sheaf of rice
if there is someone near death to the south going and saying there's no need to be afraid
if there is a quarrel or a suit to the north
telling them to leave off with such waste
when there's drought, shedding tears of sympathy
when the summer's cold, walk in concern and empathy
called a blockhead by everyone
without being praised
without being blamed
such a person
I want to become

THE HUMAN INSTINCT - POEM
Sudenly, something has happened to me
As I was having my cup of tea
Suddenly I was feeling depressed
I was utterly and totally stressed
Do you know you made me down
Do you know you made me down
And the thing that gets to me
Is you'll never really see
And the thing that freaks me out
Is I'll always be in doubt
It's a lovelly thing that we have
It's a lovelly thing that we
It's a lovelly thing, the human
The human instinct
So, take my hands and come with me
We will change reality
So take my hands and we will pray
They won't take you away
They will never make me down, no!
They will never make me die
And the thing that gets to me
Is you'll never really see
And the thing that freaks me out
Is I'll always be in doubt
The human
The human
The human
The human instinct in me
The human instinct to me
The human
The human
The human
The human instinct in me
The human instinct to me

A SPECIAL WORLD - POEM
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.
Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.
And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.

JUST MY IMAGINATION - POEM
There was a game we used to play
We would hit the town on friday night
And stay in bed on sunday
We used to be so free
We were living for the love we had and
Living not for reality
It was just my imagination x3
The game I used to play
I've always put my cards upon the table
It was just my imagination x3
There is a game I like to play
I like to hit the town on friday night
And stay in bed on sunday
We'll always be this free
We will be living for the love we have
Living not for reality
It was not my imagination
It was not my imagination
It was not my imagination
It was..
DOES ANYONE CARE? - POEM
Do you see me?
Do you see?
Do you see? Do you like me?
Do you like me standing there? Do you notice?
Do you know? Do you see? Do you see me?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
And people everywhere think, something better than I am
No problem, I can fight it
Do you know this?
Do you know you did not find me
You did not find me
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Understand the things I say, don't turn away from me
Because I've spent half my life out there, you wouldn't disagree
And we didn't give a damn
Do you know me?
Do you hear me?
Do you see me?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?
Does anyone care?

LET ME LIFE, LITTLE TREE - POEM
Once I was a tiny seed.
Mother Nature cared my need.
I grew up as a shady tree.
Now my age is twenty three.
I have branches so many.
For children to play in company,
I feed worms with tiny figs.
I make homes with tiny twigs.
I am for the resting herds.
Also for the poor shepherds.
People breathe the air I give.
Why do not people let me live.
Please, Did you understand?
I believe you all
I make you comfort, this world
I Love you people
From little tree like me
STORM IN THE BLACK FOREST - POEM
Jugfull after jugfull of pure white liquid fire, bright white
tipples over and spills down,
and is gone
and gold-bronze flutters beat through the thick upper air.
And as the electric liquid pours out, sometimes
a still brighter white snake wriggles among it, spilled
and tumbling wriggling down the sk
and then the heavens cackle with uncouth sounds.
And the rain won’t come, the rain refuses to come!
This is the electricity that man is supposed to have mastered
chained, subjugated to his own use!
-David Herbert Lawrence (1885-1930)-
THE WHITE WINDOW - POEM
The Moon comes every night to peep
Through the window where I lie:
But I pretend to be asleep;
And watch the Moon go slowly by,
-And she never makes a sound!
She stands and stares! And then she goes
To the house that's next to me,
Stealing by on tippy-toes;
To peep at folk asleep maybe
-And she never makes a sound!

A BLACK ROSE - POEM
A Black Rose,
Glistening in the rain,
A sign, a symbol,
An insignia of loss,
It’s the Flower of Darkness,
Lying in wait on this cold winter night,
It represents the beauty of despair,
The grace of defeat,
The feelings we all find hard to bear,
The millions of people that have all loved and lost,
All behind this flower that holds us aloft,
Within its petals we drown our grief,
With its stem we clutch to what’s left of life,
Within its thorns we spite those who have set us so
And within this dark flower we find our peace,
The power to let go and leave the loved lie,
So with this flower we sign our hearts,
We accept our everlasting love,
And move on,
A Black Rose,
Glistening in the rain,
Ill forever love you,
Ill never lose hope,
But until you come back,
Here’s a Black Rose,
For my love…

MOON AND WIND - POEM
There is no wind on the moon at all
Yet things get blown about.
In utter utter stillness
Your candle shivers out.
In utter stillness
A giant marquee
Booms and flounders past you
Like a swan at sea.
In utter utter stillness
While you stand in the street
A squall of hen and cabbages
Knocks you off your feet.
In utter utter stillness
While you stand agog
A tearing twisting sheet of pond
Clouts you with a frog.
A camp of caravans suddenly
Squawks and takes off.
A ferris wheel bounds along the skyline
Like a somersaulting giraffe.
Roots and foundations, nails and screws,
Nothing can hold fast,
Nothing can resist the moon's
Dead-still blast
